Abstract Because of the high entropy effect, a simple solid solution structure can be obtained in alloys (HEAs), giving HEAs greater overall properties than conventional alloys. Cladding layers FeCoCrNiMnTi x were prepared on Q355 steel by laser cladding technology. X-ray diffraction (XRD), metallographic microscope (OM), and scanning electron (SEM) used to examine microstructure layers. The microhardness wear resistance tested using Vickers tester testing machine, respectively. FeCoCrNiMn consisted face-centered cubic (FCC) solution. addition Ti promoted formation body-centered (BCC) hexagonal When content was higher x=0.8, Laves phase formed. increased (x=0.5, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0) HEAs, which is due effect strengthening, grain refinement. less x=0.6, alloy’s positively correlated with its hardness, 0.6 alloy had best resistance.
